Canvas And Clay| Author and Finisher

In my mother’s womb
You formed me with Your hands
Known and loved by You
Before I took a breath

When I doubt it, Lord, remind me
I’m wonderfully made
You’re an artist and a potter
I’m the canvas and the clay

You make all things work together
For my future and for my good
You make all things work together
For Your glory and for Your name

There’s a healing light
Just beyond the clouds
Though I’ve walked through fire
I see clearly now

I know nothing has been wasted
No failure or mistake
You’re an artist and a potter
I’m the canvas and the clay

You make all things work together
For my future and for my good
You make all things work together
For Your glory and for Your name
For my good, for my good

When I doubt it, Lord, remind me
I’m wonderfully made
You’re an artist and a potter
I’m the canvas and the clay

And I know nothing has been wasted
No failure or mistake
You’re an artist and a potter
I’m the canvas and the clay

You make all things work together
For my future and for my good
You make all things work together
For Your glory and for Your name

When I doubt it, Lord, remind me
I’m wonderfully made
You’re an artist and a potter
I’m the canvas and the clay

I know nothing has been wasted
No failure or mistake
You’re an artist and a potter
I’m the canvas and the clay
You’re an artist and a potter
I’m the canvas and the clay
You’re an artist and a potter
I’m the canvas and the clay

A Question of Faith| “Doubting Thomas” 2018

I just watched a movie on Amazon Prime; this isn’t really a review but a in depth look at what doubt looks likes in anyone’s mind AND how even the strongest of us—-those who have relentlessness faith may falter in the face of not having solid, cold, tangible FACTs.

In the Bible—–“Doubting Thomas”—was one of the twelve main disciples of Jesus Christ.  Thomas famously doubted Jesus’ resurrection, telling the other disciples, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe”

—John 20:25

In this movie several things happen and several different roads are chosen. Certain roads though, IF they had be chosen to begin with, could have led to a “seeminglybetter outcome, stronger relationships/connections.

——————————————————————————————————-

Here is the foundation of the story:

A white couple gives birth to a black child. Both seem to think they know their past/family fairly well or decently enough where ancestry doesn’t seem to be much of a question and if so it’s in the RECESSES of the ancestry TREEsomewhat of a anomaly. The male of the couple has a best friend who happens to be black. Both the male and female of the couple seem, genuinely surprised at the wonderfully chocolate child that has been produced. The female genuinely offers the male a DNA test after the child’s birth.

For most of us–there is only 1 or 2 scenarios here: 1. The wife cheated. 2. The wife and/or husband have mixed ancestry that is unknown/known to them. The more adventurous one may come up with scenario 3. This is simply an anomaly—extremely rare/recessive trait that on rare occasion can be found with no recent mixed heritage.

Road 1: The male decides, even though doubt lies in his heart, he will NOT get the DNA test. It is to “save face“—-say to the female, I FULLY trust you—our love is STRONGER than THIS— and have NO need for a DNA test—even though he is very surprised/shocked at having a chocolate colored baby come from his very seemingly “whitewife and himself.

Parable: This is likened to a group from the ROOTS of the tree taking the longest, most difficult pathway to water and nutrients, knowing it will run into quite a few obstructions and obstacles but still willing to take that chance of drought, doubt, and ultimately the gamble of —trusting that the end result will be LIFE. ***See Matthew 7:13***

Road 2: Take her up on her offer, which seems genuine, and get the test done. Maybe even explore each other’s DNA/heritage.

Parable: This is liken to the group from the ROOTS that take the shortest yet seemingly most promising way to water and nutrients, avoiding any obstacles/obstructions in the way. ***See Matthew 7:13***

MOST of us—-myself in concluded if I were the man, PROBABLY would have taken Road 2 over Road 1—-why? It’s easier, more clear, direct, doesn’t require much from me but a small piece of hair, blood, or saliva, but with Road 2-much is required—Trust/belief, tenacity/strength, faith/knowing, discipline/consistency, and patience/loyalty-–blind by the human eye, truly seen by the human spirit.

If we are HONEST, these things are all things we tend to struggle with daily as human beings for various reasons (mostly our past experiences, ego, logic, insecurity, and/or ignorance--but also our present and future if we let the past and those experiences control and define US and how we see the world currently and our future. Often, more than this, it’s the “ease” of  not having to  “worry about it”,  the idea of “matter of fact”— we often think of that makes this road easiest to travel, at least in our mind’s eye.

The thing about faith is…it’s an experience outside of what is in the box we “saw/believed” it to be incomfortable and convenient to us. Faith not about torture or punishment—as it all to often is made to SEEM this way– and may very well FEEL this way in the “waiting“—in wasting time with the wrong person/people—doing the wrong thing(s) but it IS about trusting and letting go of fear AND doubt.

Faith is ALL about peace & promise. It is the road LESS traveled but the road that always ultimately leads to peace & promise. The other pathways may SEEM promising, comfortable, familiar,  even interesting–with potential, or quickly leading to your perceived destination—-but usually ISN’T lasting and is often EXTREMELY superficial/shallow/without depth. One may argue “timing” but somethings are simply not your destination/destiny—and it will never quench your thirst. In fact, it’s often detrimental/toxic and disappointing—but it is not your peace and it’s not your promise. Truth is—we all know this in our spirit, question is will you follow it or only the things that seem tangible enough now to touch, see, hear, taste, smell with our physical senses?

A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

John 20:26-30

Cinderella Movie Review 2021-Amazon Prime

Although the classical Cinderella may seem a bit “out dated” in 2021, this 2021 version was VERY off script and not in a good way,

Of course there were the touching times, funny/witty elements, and some of the main elements like in the original movie— kindness, integrity, respect, love, and hard work were still incorporated. HOWEVER, less savvy, and distasteful things were introduced that were just as nasty if not worst than the step mother’s treatment of Cinderella.

A. Fairy God mother turns into Fairy Drag Queen— in this version of Cinderella, “Ella” takes in a caterpillar and provides a safe haven for it with the proper food for the caterpillar to grow and develop into a butterfly. Once it becomes a butterfly, it then transforms to a drag queen. Imagine the BEAUTIFUL transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly being the manifestation of a DRAG QUEEN. The NATURAL transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly was taken to new, yet extremely artificial AND petty levels with a drag queen as the result of this transformation– especially considering the the very heterosexual nature of a butterfly and their matting process. This is a an attempt to make something that is very unnatural, appear as “normal” or appeasing in some manner.

B. Choosing between being her own boss vs being a “queen” married to a prince who will become “king”-– This is a an “age” old struggle for which most of us would classify as “feminist” Ideology. In this version of Cinderella, females are told that they should chose what they want in life in regard to their dreams (college, sewing, modelling, etc) as opposed to “settling” for the “family life“. Although I do not think a woman should have to “settle” for one or the other—they should be able to have both (as many of us do). Now, I am not BLIND to the fact that we are set back in the king/queen dynasty era where tradition was VERY FIRM but—- ya gave me a DRAG QUEEN FAIRY GOD MOTHER—why couldn’t she have BOTH a life of luxury with a family, husband, and kids WHILE STILL pursuing her OWN talents–perhaps carving the way for fellow women to do something similar? What good would it be for a woman to accomplish such things in the workplace without anyone (ex. children) to carry her own values/ideas/linage and what greater influence would she have had as a QUEEN over someone who is just simply out to make a “name” for themselves? I think it’s because this movie had it’s own negative agendas that those things were not at all considered in the making of this movie.

C. Making a very clear choice of “Blurred Lines”— Near the end of this movie, there is a moment where the Prince, in order to be with “Ella” says that he does not even want to BE king and that it’s his choice rather or not he chooses the role of “king” or not. Historically, the role of “king” was place on the eldest son of the king to “carry the torch” so to speak. There is a sense of obligation here but with this obligation comes wealth and power, so most people in this position hurriedly took this role; the role was even fought over at times with a younger sibling or illegitimate sibling(s). He decides that he will “follow” Ella and give up kingship since if he were to become king, she would not be able to pursue her dream as a seamstress. Seems fair and sweet/loving right? Except they do NOT get married in this version of Ella and instead or are just “lovers” or “in love” for the time-— they don’t need to put a “title” on it. This is classic confusion/disillusion/ just go with the flow, non commitment —anything goes “talk”.

These days we are bombarded with the idea of NOT settling down…2 people live together for decades without marriage, have kids out of wedlock habitually and those who chose NOT to do this are looked at as if WE are the ones living in sin in this respect. Most people see themselves either “single or married” even IF they are in a committed relationship with someone. If they are not married, then they are “single” and if they are sleeping with multiple women/men, it is OK BC they are NOT married. Not being willing to give up some aspect of what one would deem “freedom” is equivalent to not being able to let go some of aspect of your “ego“–which is merely a satan concerned illusion.

The TRUTH is men and women with this ideology are NOT wife/husband material and likely exponentially stunted in growth spiritually (too busy living in the world and not in line/in tune with their spiritual being to see/adhere to/ understand truth , which is MUCH more important than their physical being) because greater chances are the chances that EVEN IF they are married, they will still feel at liberty to sleep around ,when the “feeling” comes to them. Some of us live solely in the world, while others of us live in the spirit and use this body as a means of passage—you do have to choose. There is NO “luke warm” –way of passage.

Some of us will take any role willing to pay the right amount of money OR the role that seems more “popular‘ at the timeregardless of the outcome or character. Which one will YOU chose?

Parable of the Wheat and the Tares

Jesus said, “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’  But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”

Everything that is complex is simplified for the mind of man for his understanding and knowledge to increase in God’s work and understanding the enemy. If you do not know the enemy, how then can you stand against him when he comes, parading as an angel of light? The Devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy but Jesus came so that we would have life and have it more abundantly.

Not everything that glitters is gold. Wheat and Tare BEFORE the harvest look ALIKE and the roots are in such close proximity with the wheat. This is why in the parable Jesus says NOT to pull up the suspected the tares HOWEVER when harvest time comes, ONLY the WHEAT will produce crop— the TARES will not; the tare will be bundled and burned while the wheat will be stored.

In life, most of us have been in situations where we were tricked/schemed. You thought you found the love of your life but turns out they were very dishonest and back stabbing and only pretended to be a friend, loving, and trustful confident in your face. Someone was disloyal when you’ve only been loyal to them. Someone hide something from you when you’ve only been very open with them. There are MANY tares among us. These are all schemes/plots of the devil, the spirit behind those people’s actions are NOT of God and they are NOT by chance, they are of satan, so discernment is VERY important. It doesn’t mean be paranoid and distrusting of everyone you meet but it does mean keep your eyes and ears open, and pray that the Holy Spirit leads you in discerning of spirits in those people who are around you and that you are not overtaken by fear or paranoia (which also comes from satan because God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and of sound mind) because of past hurts or disappointments— not realizing this can cause you to miss your blessing(s) and that’s exactly what satan wants. Watch and trust what produces good crop.

The Grass is Greener—-Where it’s Watered and Shined Upon

“I am the way (Pathway), the truth (Word of God), and the Light/Life (shining knowledge of what’s true/righteous and what’s worldly/fleshly but known through intuition/God’s wisdom/understanding that leads you in the right direction)

Or

I am the Wax (the form or path as a medium to the light), the bread ( the Word/breath of God), and the light/life ( that which allows us to SEE/SENSE the truth).

They are the same thing. The Whole concept is the SAME.

Think about this concept in a very simple way:

If you are are on a path somewhere (aka “way“) to a destination that perhaps you are very certain of, as you feel it in your soul, but you don’t have the knowledge/understanding (aka “light“, or otherwise being blind) of how to reach that destination, then even with the word of God (aka “truth“), one may end up stumbling down the wrong path and off the one they’ve imagined themselves to be on.

If this were a game a chess, satan made a bold move by convincing Adam and Eve to eat from that tree of good and evil after God specifically told them NOT to do this. Satan would have man believe that God did not want us to have this knowledge because God was being selfish and wanted it all to Himselfin actuality He did not want us to have it because he wanted to protect us and keep spiritually connected/ close to us. Just because you have knowledge or awareness of something , doesn’t mean you have understanding of it—we had no discernment, just the knowledge that it exist, and not knowing your enemy when they come disguised in so many ways is literally welcoming death and disease.

God specifically told them not to do this because He knew that it would cause them confusion and suffering (disease of the spirit came in when they ate of this tree)–Satan knew this too, but of course, Satan is not on the side of mankind, as he is the father of confusionso whenever you are feeling confused, remember that.“For God is not the author of confusion but of peace”. Although many things followed this and this was satan’s first attempt to move man further away from God, God was not finished yet and He still isn’t. God works through us and that is why we are known as the body of Christ.

Jesus is the light of the world. What does this mean? Jesus was in the flesh and held knowledge of God’s word inside his spirit and had an understanding/sensing/healing ability– this is all likened to a lit candle and being able to see clearly what’s around you and where you are going. Jesus was given these gifts from God. Jesus then gave those gifts to his disciples and to the rest of the world who dare to know him. This was his sacrifice, this was/is his sword that he gave to us. Those gifts are within us.

When Jesus said, at the very tender age of 12, that he must be about his Father’s business. THIS is what he was talking about. Jesus came to give us a fighting chance or SECOND chance to win the war against evil that we had now unveiled through Adam and Eve’s transgressions. He (Jesus) was/ is a second chance at the world’s renewal of spirit with God.

Remember that John the Baptist had to “suffer” baptizing Jesus before the spirit of God descended on him like a dove. To be “born again” is the awakening of the spirit that allows a solid connection/foundation to God that was once cut off in the beginning of time when Adam and Eve ate from the tree of Knowledge of “good and evil”. Jesus says that “No one can come through the Father except by me”. THIS is the reason for Jesus— He came to bring a sword. NOT PEACE.

He came to fight and this fight may look different in the physical realm of what you’d imagine a fight to be (healing and teaching people) but in the spiritual realm — heads were rolling, confusion was cut off and discernment /understanding was looped in, disease of the spirit which afflicted the body was taken away with no medicine, strongholds were broken, demons were fleeing, death was conquered. This is why the body of the church is suffering– a lot of us are not doing anything or barely anything with the tools (sword) Jesus came to give —we are too busy living life (living in the world) or honestly too afraid or lazy to do the work and what we may discover in the process.

Timeless Illusion

How precious is your time? Be mindful of who you spend time with and what you spend most of your time doing—- time is something you can never stop nor can you ever get it back. It’s a timeless illusion.

Consider the fact that time only seems to slow itself down when we are in a very negative/sad/depressing place-–yet when we are in a happier, joyful, beautiful place–-time seems fleeting. Why is this? They say time flies when you’re having fun. How can one slow time in these positive moments, the way it slows naturally in the more depressing/sad circumstance?

I think the answer to this question lies in who and WHERE you are emotionally. If we were to be as sensitive, vulnerable, feeling, open, authentic, and raw (and challenge those around us in those happy times to do the same) as most people typically are when tragedy strikes, one would get the same effect but in a positive situation.

They say, “live in the moment“—no, that’s what makes those moments fleeting and mostly vague in our memories. To “live” is “muscle memory“, we often go through life without thinking, without savoring, without much thought or feeling unless we feel some trigger– merely going through the motions.

I say digest the moments, immerse yourself in them completely. Some may fear that by doing this, the “other shoe may drop” but this is not the truth, it’s strictly fear based. If the shoe were going to drop—it will rather you did this or not. Take the time to appreciate what is actually happening instead of just diving in for the ride; this does take some very conscious effort but it is very possible and time will seem to slow itself like it does naturally when we are in a negative state of mind if some steady, conscious effort is put forth.

Time is just as certain as death, but much less compassionate until you fully appreciate what it brings. It marches on through the melancholy no matter how painful and joyous times, no matter the rhyme or reason, and if you get caught up in the wrong situation with the wrong people— you’ll find yourself deeply regretting the energy and time spent put forth in something/someone that turned out to be completely fruitless and unable to regain any of the time loss..

Be certain the people and things that occupy your time are completely worth it—whatever the test, whatever the rigor. It’s worth it.

The Perversion of God’s Rainbow

As I child, after a storm, I’d always look in the sky for a rainbow. Often times, I did not see it and it made me sad/disappointed. As I matured, I grew to understand something about rainbows: they appear just at the right time and at the right places for the right people to see and understand. In fact, it was the most unexpected times that I saw rainbows in the sky—sometimes even before the storm.

Let’s look at what a rainbow is- it is the splitting of white light, pure so that the colors of white light are seen. There are 7 colors in the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet in that order and it’s always the same because of the different light wavelengths these colors have that go into creating those different colors from pure, white light.

The rainbow, however, can not be be created without moisture (Water), so it should also be noted that in the making of a rainbow, water is involved, not just the pure, white, light. 70% of our world and 70% of our bodies being made of water and the first color being red, the longest wavelength which is well known for it’s healing properties is even more telling of the mystery and love of our God.

It took 1 week or 7 days for the creation our world. Light was seen as “good” at earth’s inception. The throne of God is described as a rainbow (Revelation 4:3). Judaism acknowledges 7 heavens (ironically color bound).

A rainbow is God’s promise to man not to destroy this world and it’s inhabitants again; it is a covenant, a strong yet rare promise to us. Now religious or not, atheist or not, gay or not…for most people the rainbow, at it’s foundation, is seen a something beautiful, vibrant, and only obtained through light—not darkness.

In all the wrong that is within this world, we can agree that there are things that are sinful, immoral, wrong, without principle distasteful, etc. We can also agree that there are somethings that are worse than others but still wrong (ex. physically assaulting someone vs raping someone vs killing someone). That being said, why the rainbow (that unaltered, pure light that is being split to it’s foundation) of all symbols has been used to “represent” gay pride/LBT etc is not a coincidence. It’s another means of blasphemist mayhem that goes into an attempt to undermined, mock, and disrespect those things in this world that are pure/of light. There is nothing pure or of light about sexual immorality—not one thing.

Keep in mind that one of the main reasons the world was destroyed by the flood was because of sexual immorality and this also ties into Sodom and Gomorrah, which happened AFTER the flood — destroyed due to extreme sexual immorality and lack of righteousness in general.

It was on that same day that the water had receded enough that Noah and his family, including his sons and their family, could get off of the boat safely JUST to become intoxicated enough to engage in some form of homosexuality, which resulted in a curse.

There is a GROSS injustice happening in America, as I type, in the MIDST of a justice that is moral— AS it (that which is immoral) rides on the coat tail of the Justice that is moral, though not deserving, though under serving, though completely immoral. What will YOU do in this world in the day where the media and other social influences say that “Everything is right and everything is just” even though in your spiritual self knows otherwise?
