The Battle is NOT yours…..

I had to really quiet my mind and heart before I was able to speak what was being said within my spirit.

“God is real. His love, dedication, devotion, and his power resignates in us bc God allows it to be so”

We only need to quiet our minds enough to hear what God has to say, and often it is seems small but is PROFOUND.

You have to quiet doubt, fear, guilt, ego—-because God did not give us a spirit of fear but of peace, love and of sound mind— anything below this, is not from GOD.

So how does one contend with fear, guilt, ego? ONE, as with all other burdens surrenders it to God, which will mean your will and way of thinking or way of cooping may be at risk. Your way of being and the structure in which you see life, control and true life progress may be at risk. Oh, BUT GOD. You’ve tried EVERYTHING ELSE had haven’t moved from your starting point— so LET HIM work.

My testimony:

There was a concern for my sister’s health a well as my fathers. I sought Jesus. I sought him and WHO he was and all that he IS and what the BIBLE teaches him to to be. I wanted to know of His ways, all of his healings and teachings and even in his childhood where he sought wholesomely to be about his father’s business —-it was IN the knocking and searching that I found quietness and knowing and ultimately found Jesus. I had found him in a way in which I didn’t now him before…beyond stories and beyond bible class. I felt Him in my spirit. I asked Him to walk with me daily. I’ve always known him as a healer and a teacher but when he came to me in my dreams and showed me the healing and deliverance of my father and sister—part of me was in disbelief. It wasn’t until the MRI of my sister and the blood work of my father paired with physically seeing my father I was SURE. I was like Thomas who needed to see the holes in Jesus” hands before he believed it he had defeated death.

If at any time you are uncertain, always remember this:

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10: 10.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Never Lost a Battle

Miracles when You move
Such an easy thing for You to do
And Your hand is moving right now
You are still showing up
At the tomb of every Lazarus
And Your voice is calling me out

And Right now, I know You’re able
And My God, come through again

You can do all things
You can do all things but fail
‘Cause You’ve never lost a battle
No, You’ve never lost a battle
And I know, I know You never will

Everything’s possible
By the power of the Holy Ghost
A new wind is blowing right now
Breaking my heart of stone
Taking over like it’s Jericho
And my walls are all crashing down

Because Right now, I know You’re able
And My God, come through again

You can do all things
You can do all things but fail
‘Cause You’ve never lost a battle
No, You’ve never lost a battle
And I know, I know You never will X2

You’ve never lost a battle
You’ve never lost a battle
You’ve never lost a battle
You never will X 4

You can do all things
You can do all things but fail
‘Cause You’ve never lost a battle
No, You’ve never lost a battle
And I know, I know You never will X 2

And I know, I know You never will X 2

You’ve never lost a battle
You’ve never lost a battle
You’ve never lost a battle
You never will X 4

And I know You won’t lose
And I know You won’t lose
And I know You won’t lose
You never will X 2

You never will
You never will
You never will

You never will
You never will
You never will
You never will

A Question of Faith| “Doubting Thomas” 2018

I just watched a movie on Amazon Prime; this isn’t really a review but a in depth look at what doubt looks likes in anyone’s mind AND how even the strongest of us—-those who have relentlessness faith may falter in the face of not having solid, cold, tangible FACTs.

In the Bible—–“Doubting Thomas”—was one of the twelve main disciples of Jesus Christ.  Thomas famously doubted Jesus’ resurrection, telling the other disciples, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe”

—John 20:25

In this movie several things happen and several different roads are chosen. Certain roads though, IF they had be chosen to begin with, could have led to a “seeminglybetter outcome, stronger relationships/connections.

——————————————————————————————————-

Here is the foundation of the story:

A white couple gives birth to a black child. Both seem to think they know their past/family fairly well or decently enough where ancestry doesn’t seem to be much of a question and if so it’s in the RECESSES of the ancestry TREEsomewhat of a anomaly. The male of the couple has a best friend who happens to be black. Both the male and female of the couple seem, genuinely surprised at the wonderfully chocolate child that has been produced. The female genuinely offers the male a DNA test after the child’s birth.

For most of us–there is only 1 or 2 scenarios here: 1. The wife cheated. 2. The wife and/or husband have mixed ancestry that is unknown/known to them. The more adventurous one may come up with scenario 3. This is simply an anomaly—extremely rare/recessive trait that on rare occasion can be found with no recent mixed heritage.

Road 1: The male decides, even though doubt lies in his heart, he will NOT get the DNA test. It is to “save face“—-say to the female, I FULLY trust you—our love is STRONGER than THIS— and have NO need for a DNA test—even though he is very surprised/shocked at having a chocolate colored baby come from his very seemingly “whitewife and himself.

Parable: This is likened to a group from the ROOTS of the tree taking the longest, most difficult pathway to water and nutrients, knowing it will run into quite a few obstructions and obstacles but still willing to take that chance of drought, doubt, and ultimately the gamble of —trusting that the end result will be LIFE. ***See Matthew 7:13***

Road 2: Take her up on her offer, which seems genuine, and get the test done. Maybe even explore each other’s DNA/heritage.

Parable: This is liken to the group from the ROOTS that take the shortest yet seemingly most promising way to water and nutrients, avoiding any obstacles/obstructions in the way. ***See Matthew 7:13***

MOST of us—-myself in concluded if I were the man, PROBABLY would have taken Road 2 over Road 1—-why? It’s easier, more clear, direct, doesn’t require much from me but a small piece of hair, blood, or saliva, but with Road 2-much is required—Trust/belief, tenacity/strength, faith/knowing, discipline/consistency, and patience/loyalty-–blind by the human eye, truly seen by the human spirit.

If we are HONEST, these things are all things we tend to struggle with daily as human beings for various reasons (mostly our past experiences, ego, logic, insecurity, and/or ignorance--but also our present and future if we let the past and those experiences control and define US and how we see the world currently and our future. Often, more than this, it’s the “ease” of  not having to  “worry about it”,  the idea of “matter of fact”— we often think of that makes this road easiest to travel, at least in our mind’s eye.

The thing about faith is…it’s an experience outside of what is in the box we “saw/believed” it to be incomfortable and convenient to us. Faith not about torture or punishment—as it all to often is made to SEEM this way– and may very well FEEL this way in the “waiting“—in wasting time with the wrong person/people—doing the wrong thing(s) but it IS about trusting and letting go of fear AND doubt.

Faith is ALL about peace & promise. It is the road LESS traveled but the road that always ultimately leads to peace & promise. The other pathways may SEEM promising, comfortable, familiar,  even interesting–with potential, or quickly leading to your perceived destination—-but usually ISN’T lasting and is often EXTREMELY superficial/shallow/without depth. One may argue “timing” but somethings are simply not your destination/destiny—and it will never quench your thirst. In fact, it’s often detrimental/toxic and disappointing—but it is not your peace and it’s not your promise. Truth is—we all know this in our spirit, question is will you follow it or only the things that seem tangible enough now to touch, see, hear, taste, smell with our physical senses?

A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

John 20:26-30

Aaronic Blessing

Because this song has mostly a calming melody about it, do not be fooled. This is a warring in the spirit song and has a powerful anointing/blessing. It based off the biblical Aaronic blessing (Numbers 6: 22-27).

At some of my most troublesome times in life, I worshipped and praised God and thanked him for this blessings and graciousness in advance while listening to this song— and He delivered! Lyrics are on the screen.

Fasting| Food for the Spirit

Spiritual feeding is physical fasting. It is like the rain water and sun is to fresh, healthy green grass and wild flowers, or enormous trees with deep roots and no hollowness. The outcome is always beautiful and fruitful IF you repent, have faith, go into it with truth and honesty, with an open heart and allow yourself to be vulnerable and egoless let go, listen and allow the holy spirit to lead you.

Why do people fast?

Here are the top 10 most common reasons:

  1. To focus on the inner self — which is spiritual
  2. Connect/bond with God
  3. Breakthroughs/Victory/Answers to prayers
  4. Deliverance
  5. To ground oneself in times of chaos/trouble/doubt
  6. Grow spiritually
  7. Healing
  8. Understanding
  9. Peace
  10. They’ve tried everything else on their own and nothing else as worked.

What are you fasting from?

It depends on what takes up most of your energy/time regularly but also what you typically use to numb down your inner spirit/emotions (drugs, alcohol, eating, watching tv.

My first fast, was for 1 week. I did not eat until sundown and I only had a glass of wine if any alcohol at meal time (1 regular portion meal with no second helpings).

During the day, I only drank water, prayed (alone and with others on a prayer line), studied the Word, wrote in my journal what I dreamed and what I heard, felt, or saw that spoke to my spirit& NO TV and limited phone time—- just praise and worship music where I was very much an active participate.

Of course I was also working during this time, so on any breaks including “lunch break”— this is what I did. I was DESPERATE for God’s answers to my questions (which I wrote in my journal) and He answered every single one. So many things manifested and became very clear to me.

In addition to this, every night of my fast, I dreamed strongly and vividly—-every one was a prophetic dream, leading me and showing me where, how, why, even timing. 70% of those dreams I’ve seen play out already and that fast was in 2016. I wrote them (my dreams) all down just as vividly as they were given to me and as I wrote them down, I would ask God what does this mean or what does that mean—and immediately he spoke it to my spirit--that I wrote down too.

How does it feel?

  1. You will get tired and you will get irritable, maybe even bored but stay the course and do not give up or give in. This is the devil using your human weakness—that which is in mind and body -to relinquish yourself from the inner workings of your spirit and connection with God. Remind yourself — as often as you need to—why you are doing it and keep your spiritual strength up in God.
  2. For me, I know when I’m in the presence of the Holy Spirit when I get chills during revelation, when my feet and/or hands suddenly become warm as I’m praying, when my ears start to ring—when there is a warmth hovering around and over me, when there is the smell of lavender or another very sweet aroma in the air suddenly even though there isn’t a “logical” reason for it.
  3. It feels weird at first to hear these thoughts, as you wonder if you are making these things up in your head or if God is really speaking to you. It was actually one of the things I asked God about during the fast I spoke of earlier. He told me that I would know it’s Him by knowing His Word because by knowing His Word, I would then know and understand who He is by His nature. Then he reminded me of these two verses: Jeremiah 29:11| Hebrews 4:12
  4. There were times when I would speak something that I know I haven’t read or learned ANYWHERE so accurately and with confidence like fire from the pit of my soul boiling up to form the speech in my mouth—-and I’d surprise myself bc when I looked it up, it was correct., documented; this had happened to me quite a few times when I was a teenager and was the beginning of my prophesying. John 14:26| Joel 2:28

Knowing Your Enemy is Key | Embodying Your Authority Over Your Enemy is Victory

1 Peter 5:7-9

We’ve all heard the saying, keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer. I must admit, in my younger days, I was perplexed by this saying…partially out of nativity and partially because I liked to think that everyone was mostly good and there were only a few bad apples..plus…why would I have enemies? I’m nice to EVERYONE. Yeah, that phase wore off soon.

Spiritual warfare is very real and the sooner you realize that, the sooner you’ll be able to move forward with things in life that you have always seemed to be “stuck” in. Rather those things are financial, relationships, family issues, emotional, drinking, smoking, negative thoughts, negative behavior, etc. Sometimes we find ourselves fighting what seems to be an uphill battle, no matter how hard we try, how hard to study, we pray, we seek, we wish, we hope, and we keep the faith. Why does it have to be THIS difficult you ask? You will soon see.

A few years ago, I kept having dreams regarding me fighting things. I would battle it with my hands, with other objects, even attempting to use euthanasia solution— I was fighting with ALL MY MIGHT and all my know how. In these dreams, often, whatever the thing was that was trying to attack me or destroy something that belonged to me–-it would die from my attacks but only briefly. It would come back to life and I’d find myself confused but fighting it again with all my might. What did this dream mean?

The dream was meant to tell me that I can not fight spiritual things physically; I can only win a fight that is spiritual in nature…spiritually. Yahweh gave me this dream 3-4 times and I finally understood it. It was never the same thing I was fighting but the underlying concept was the same. It was time that I learned how to fight spiritually against those things that looked to be “physically” holding me back—because it actually wasn’t physical at all.

Emma Stark said it best in her book “Prophetic Warrior”: if you are in a battle, the aim is not to try and shoot the bullets flying at you, sure…you may have to dodge some so that you do not get hit…but the aim is to target/defeat/kill the one who is actually firing the arrows/bullets at you; you go directly for the source.

Know your enemy– know exactly what you are up against so that when it comes to you, in the many forms that it inevitably will, there will be no doubt of the source and no doubt on what you must do. The following are the tactics of the devil:

  1. Fear– this is probably one of the his biggest strategies. If you fear him, fear for your life, fear you will be harmed, you’ll not stand against him. You’ll just cower and be paranoid. He doesn’t have to use any of the other 6 listed if you are paralyzed by fear because you’ve simply given up already; you’ve surrendered. You may cry out for Jesus or for God to help you if you’re a believer, which by all means if that’s all you know to do…DO ITbut never give in.
    • My Example: There was a time right before I was waking up, I heard sinister voices mocking and laughing at me, foot steps coming toward me and I was in that sleep paralysis state so I could not move well; these demons laughed at me and mocked me when I cried out for help; I cried in Jesus’ name and although I felt as if I was talking very loudly, may voice was SO small and—they replied ?WHO is that you are calling for? and they laughed more. I resisted them still and once I woke, I was so upset. I prayed to Holy High Heaven and rebuked them once I was awake but it bothered me WHY me calling for Jesus did not work. If something similar has ever happened to you, internalize Ephesians 6:10-18| 2 Timothy 1:7. This leads me to number 2.
  2. Using your lack of understanding/knowledge against you to render you powerless against him or at least feeling as if you areSee Acts 19: 8-17 Not knowing your authority against the devil and his minions leaves you vulnerable to his attacks. Hosea 4:1|Proverbs 4:7 It is SUPER IMPORTANT TO DIVE DEEP INTO THE WORD AND UNDERSTAND THAT God has given us ALL the authority to trample of the heads of demons. Luke 10: 19. Do not just read or memorize the words of any scripture when engaging in spiritual warfare–ITS IMPORTANT TO INTERNALIZE|CONCEPTUALIZE what is written–INTERNALIZE this truth and remind yourself of IT often, so that it is to you what your family tree would be, your name, your birth date—it’s not just arbitrary names and dates| you’ve not just merely memorized it but internalized it because of the deeper implications that it has for you and your family–internalize the Word of God like anything that is true and would be like second nature and very personal to you.
    • My Example: once I graduated from high school and went to college. I immediately had to change the way in which I studied. Wrote memorization just wouldn’t do it anymore. My first big test in college , although I studied for weeks and felt like I had a good understanding of things, I nearly failed. I was crushed emotionally, but I did not give up. I had to understand that concepts were key. If I understood a concept fully, no matter HOW it was thrown at me or worded, I would always know the wrong answers from the right answers—and not only that— I would know why the wrong answers were wrong and what type of questions would make those particular choices the correct answer. If you approach things in this way, you will always win the battle.
  3. Distractions/Stumbling blocks– when you sit down to read the Word, to internalize aspects of it that you never have before by devoting some time each day or certain days of the week—it seems like EVERYTHING and EVERYONE needs your attention at that time. Last week, nothing was out of the ordinary, now everything demands your attention. Make it happen anyway; defy the devil and his tactics every single time. I do not care how tired you are, how sleepy, how frustrated. Cut everything off and find that peace and that time to have with God. Those distractions are there for a reason–to discourage you, to set you back, to set you up, to make sure that you do not find the glory and promise that God has for your life any time soon.
  4. Planting seeds of doubt– look no further than Genesis and the fall of Adam and Eve– although I am sure there are plenty of instances in your own life where seeds of doubt have been dropped in your good and fertile soil by people, situations, and/or seasons. Seeds of doubt, seem to take root much easier than seeds of faith; be careful of your thoughts and when they are not your thoughtsrebuke them immediately with your mouth, not just in your mind, and send them to where they came. Matthew 16:19| See the “Parable of the Sower” in Mark
  5. Confusion1 John 4:1|1 Corinthians 14-16. If you find yourself at a crossroads, pray and fast for 7 days. When you pray, pray with all of your heart and spirit, as if you were sitting or kneeling in front of God (forget absolutely everything else except what comes bubbling up in your spirit and your request/need from Him and be open with your prayer. I did this for the first time 4 years ago, and the dreams that I dreamt were extremely vivid 6 days of the 7. Some I’m still in the process seeing them come to fruition, while others happened within weeks- to months of them having them.
    • There is no spiritually correct way to pray. The point of it is deep authenticity, a cry from the spirit/soul spoken outwardly- full with the breath of life and acknowledgment of God as our full life and light source. The only way to pray is simply with a open mind, heart, and spirit and in truth/honesty with repentance of sins known and unknown to you.
  6. Temptation– See Number 4 + Matthew 4:1-11
  7. Lies and deceptionsee number 2 and number 4 and Number 6. Resist the devil and stand firm on the Word of God EVERY SINGLE TIME. Do not fail, do not flaughter.
