When I was I child, I loved the smell of freshly cut grass as my father would get up early in the morning, before it got too hot outside, to cut it—when the grass was freshly dewed OR right before sunset; I’d often open my window to welcome the aroma and also to see him riding the mower or watch his shadow as it moved along the walls and ceiling back and forth. The smell made me happy, made me feel safe, and secure; even as an adult now, the smell today makes me think of my father and my childhood.

I’m saying this to say that smell is powerful and can trigger powerful memories and emotions. Similarly, foul smells can do the same thing. These foul smells, however, do not trigger positive emotions or memories/thoughts—obviously. This is important because when there are foul, unexplained smells, there is a good chance that there is a negative/foul spirit/sickness around; I would encourage you to pray if this happens:

Almighty God, Who delivered Your people from the bondage of the adversary, and through Your Son cast down Satan like lightning, deliver me also from every influence of unclean spirits. Command Satan to depart far from me by the power of Your only begotten Son. Rescue me from demonic imaginings and darkness. Fill me with the light of the Holy Spirit that I may be guarded against all snares of crafty demons. Grant that an angel will always go before me and lead me to the path of righteousness all the days of my life, to the honor of Your glorious Name, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and forever. One night, about 3 months ago, while I slept, I “randomly” woke up around 4 am and my cat was running frantically around —with the “zoomies” as many would call it, but she went straight to the window as if she saw something she was extremely fascinated by—although I saw nothing. At this very moment a strong aroma of lavender I smelled.. it lingered for 10-15 minutes and I just KNEW that Jesus was near me. I felt His presence and the aroma was SO strong and there was no other explanation for this. I had on no perfumes, no oils, no scents, no candles, no detergent or deodorant with the smell, nothing with this smell . I have no medical condition that would cause this. How can one explain this?

I only found this out while looking into this, prior to this, I had no idea that lavender was even mentioned in the Bible and I knew it was His presence even BEFORE I looked into any Biblical references because my spirit told me so.

Do not easily dismiss these things as these may be a sign of things that are around you to inform , guide, or encourage you.
